First things first, let’s go over the cost. The base 2023 Giulia Sprint has a starting MSRP of $44,280 while the base 2023 Audi A4 Premium starts a little lower at $40,300.
The rest of the starting MSRP for the Giulia are as follows:

Both cars are built with high-end performance in mind, and it’s plenty obvious when taking a look under the hood.

The 2023 Alfa Romeo Giulia comes with 2 engine options spread across its lineup; a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 and a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6. The inline-4 delivers a robust 280 horsepower, 306 lb-ft of torque, with 24/33 mpg in RWD and 23/31 mpg in AWD configurations. The monstrous V6, strictly reserved for the Quadrifoglio, cranks out a staggering 505 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque. It’s doubtful that Quadrifoglio owners care about gas mileage due to the Quad’s high performance, but it does provide 17 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway.

The Audi A4 also has two engines available, a 2,0-liter turbocharged inline-4 40 TFSI and 45 TFSI.  The 4o TFSI offers 201 horsepower, 236 lb-ft of torque, and 26/34 mpg. The 45 TFSI on the other hand delivers a healthy 261 horsepower, 273 lb-ft of torque, and 24/21 mpg.
