Alfa Romeo Teases New Vehicle

As we make our way into a fresh new year, Alfa Romeo has given us a tease of something special. Just two days ago on Instagram they shared an electrifying video featuring 2022’s vehicles plus the upcoming Tonale crossover coming very soon. At the very end of the video, you can see just a glimpse of a taillight design not currently offered on any of the three products sold by the Alfa Romeo brand, meaning that they have a new release up their sleeve.

Many have speculated that the circular taillight shown at the end of the video has some relation to the discontinued 4C from a couple of years ago or the 8C sold in the late 2000s. This new car will likely be somewhere between the two by adopting a six-cylinder engine, most likely a twin-turbo 2.9-liter V6. This engine already produces a solid 540 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque in the Giulia GTA, so it makes sense to expect Alfa’s engineers to increase those numbers if this is the case. Earlier last year it was also confirmed that the Giulia and Stelvio would morph into purely electric vehicles later this decade. Does that mean this teaser is a hint toward that future?
