Alfa Romeo Planning to make Electric Sedan and SUV by late 2020’s

Alfa Romeo Plans to make Electric Sedan and SUV
Alfa Romeo CEO, Jean-Phillipe Imparato revealed plans for the release of an electric Sedan and SUV during an interview with Auto Express.
According to Imparato, Alfa Romeo plans to introduce the electric sedan sometime in 2027. The sedan will reportedly be larger than the 2025 Giulia EV, and in the same size category as the Audi A6 and BMW 5-series.
However, at least for the United States, the focus seems to be set on Alfa’s flagship electric SUV, set to be released in 2028. The focus to an electric SUV comes from Alfa’s effort to increase their non-European sales by 40% and also from the fact that the SUV body style is still the most popular Stateside.
Nothing is confirmed regarding price. However, the electric SUV would be priced around it’s competitors such as BMW iX and Mercedes EQs, so MSRP could be set in the ball park of ~$100,000.
For range and charge time, the upcoming electric vehicles would be based on Stellantis’s STLA platform, providing rapid charging capability, 18-minute 80% charge time, and over 400 miles of driving range.
