Valentine’s Day Dance Soirée at the French Embassy

Does it seem like one Valentine’s Day just runs into the next one? Each year, you do the same thing. You buy or receive flowers and chocolates, go out to dinner, and go home. It’s boring, bland, and anything but romantic. Shake things up this Valentine’s Day by attending the French Embassy Valentine’s Dance Soirée in Paris. This event will take place at the Embassy of France in Washington, DC, on Feb. 14. Tickets start at $20 for International Club of DC members and $25 for nonmembers. If you pay $5 more, you will also get dance lessons. Arrive at 7 p.m. if you’re taking lessons and 8:30 p.m. if you’re just there for the party.

About the Valentine’s Day Event

You will dance the night away at this magical soirée. If you decide to pay the extra $5, your night will start with salsa, tango, and Viennese waltz lessons. Then, you will move on to the main event where you will get to try your new moves out on the dance floor.

You can also enjoy French wine and champagne from the cash bar and even purchase a French dessert. Keep in mind that dinner is not served at the event, so make reservations for dinner before the event. Otherwise, you might not have the energy you need to fly around the dance floor.

Don’t Forget Your ID

The French Embassy has certain security measures in place, and you can’t get into the event without an ID. Make sure everyone in your party has a photo ID ready. Also, if you order multiple tickets, make sure the International Club of DC has the names of everyone in your party. The names on the tickets need to match the names on the IDs to gain entrance.
